One thing we’ve heard a lot from our customers is that they’d like to be able to show payment details or the details of payments received on a bill, instead of having to also print out a statement. And since we do listen to what our customers say, we’ve made this possible – starting in TurboLaw Time and Billing Version 3 (due out in early Spring 2014).

payment details on a bill

With this new version, we’ve added the ability to show details of any payments that were received (and applied to the bill) on a bill. These details appear in the body of the bill, as line items, just like time and expenses do.

You can control whether payment details are shown on bills on a bill-by-bill basis, and you can set whether the option is turned on by default for any new bills.

You can also control the label used for payments, just like you can for time and expenses.

With this new payment details option, and with the related option for true retainer balances, the need to print or send statements to clients with every bill is greatly reduced.

We’re very excited to bring you this and many other new features and improvements in TurboLaw Time and Billing Version 3! Stay tuned to our blog, Facebook, or Twitter for more details on what’s coming in this new version.
