The next version of TurboLaw Document Software (version 2.80) is coming soon – and we’ve got a preview of some of the features of this new version.
One of the major features of TurboLaw 2.80 is that it no longer requires administrative rights in order to run – which means if you use Windows Vista or Windows 7, you won’t get the UAC (user account control) pop-up prompt every time you start TurboLaw anymore.
In addition to removing an annoyance from startup, this also has many other benefits – both for regular users and for IT/system administrators:
- If you were one of the people who occasionally got a message about “no printer installed” or “printer unavailable” when trying to print a document you just created with TurboLaw, this change eliminates that problem.
- If you were using TurboLaw on a network and would occasionally get a message saying that the database could not be opened or that the network drive was unavailable, this change eliminates that problem.
- Since TurboLaw no longer requires administrative rights, installing TurboLaw on a Terminal Server or in Citrix will be much simpler.
This is just one of the changes made in the upcoming version 2.80 of TurboLaw – stay tuned this month as we highlight some of the other exciting changes!
