We are once again very pleased to announce the latest update to TurboLaw Document Software: TurboLaw version 2.75! This update includes features which were suggested by our users – as always, we listen to our customers and take all the feedback you give us very seriously!

One big new feature in 2.75 is the new TurboLaw Toolbar – a completely revised toolbar which fits in better with Office 2007 and 2010.

The new TurboLaw toolbarAbove: the new TurboLaw toolbar, as it appears in Word 2010.

The new TurboLaw toolbar appears on the Home tab of the new “ribbon” interface in Office 2007 and 2010, so you don’t have to switch to the Add-Ins tab anymore (thus saving you a click).

This new toolbar button also features a visual indicator of whether your document is protected (i.e., locked) or unprotected (i.e., unlocked). When a document is protected, the button appears “pressed down” and the icon changes to include a picture of a padlock. When the document is unprotected (unlocked), the button appears flat (as shown above) and has a picture of a piece of paper with a pencil.

Of course, we haven’t forgotten about those who are using an older version of Microsoft Office (e.g., Office 2003). If you are using an older version of Office, you will still get a new toolbar, however it will appear as a normal toolbar, just like all the other toolbar buttons. It still has the same visual indicator features, however.

Some of the other changes made in this version of TurboLaw were made to make it easier for you to get help when you need it while using the program. For example, the old On-Line Help button has been replaced with a new Training & Tutorials button which takes you to the excellent tutorial section of our newly-revamped Help Center.

Other features/changes that are new in this version include:

  • The Contact Us menu now has an option to email customer service, in addition to tech support.
  • It is now possible to turn off the reminders to backup TurboLaw (by setting the backup reminder interval to zero).
  • There is an option to disable update reminders if you have turned off automatic updates.
  • The Help menu has been revised to include more relevant entries, as well as more up-to-date on-line content.
  • The Web Help tab has been removed – you can now get to our on-line Help Center simply by clicking the Help menu and choosing Get Help On-Line.

TurboLaw users should receive a notification of this new update from your TurboLaw program shortly after you open it (if you have Automatic Updates turned on). If you don’t have Automatic Updates turned on, you can click the Update menu in TurboLaw and choose Check for Updates instead.

As always, we continue to update TurboLaw based on feedback we hear from our customers – so if you have an idea or suggestion for TurboLaw, we’d love to hear from you!
