System Requirements
TurboLaw Document Software requires the following minimum system configuration:
- Microsoft Windows XP (Service Pack 3 or higher), Windows Vista, or Windows 7
- Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 or higher (if you do not have this, the setup for TurboLaw Document Software will download and install it automatically)
In addition, TurboLaw requires Microsoft Word XP (2002), 2003, 2007, or 2010 to display its documents, as well as Excel XP (2002), 2003, 2007, or 2010 to display financial statements and HUD forms. TurboLaw will not work correctly with WordPerfect or Microsoft Works, and does not work correctly with Office 2010 “Click to Run” or Trial editions.
TurboLaw is compatible with Windows XP SP3 (Home or Professional), Windows Vista (all editions, 32-bit and 64-bit), and Windows 7 (all editions, 32-bit and 64-bit).
TurboLaw is not compatible with Apple Mac OS X, however if you have an Apple Macintosh computer, you can click here to learn more about using TurboLaw on a Macintosh.
An Internet connection is also highly recommended in order to receive updates, but is not required to install or use TurboLaw.

Network Requirements
The Network Setup Assistant makes networking TurboLaw quick and easy.
For use on a network, TurboLaw simply requires a “shared” folder that can be “mapped” to a drive on each workstation. The TurboLaw program is installed on each user’s computer or workstation, while the data (the case database and documents created for each case) is kept on the shared network drive.
For example, if a shared folder called “TurboLaw” is created on a server (or another computer on the network), each workstation must be configured such that the “TurboLaw” folder appears as a “drive” in Windows Explorer. All drives in Windows Explorer are assigned letters, such as A:, C: or D:. The network drive must also be assigned a letter; this is called a “mapped network drive.”
