Getting Help

Form fields in documents appear as { FORMTEXT }

Details:

When you open a TurboLaw document, the gray form fields in the document are all filled with the text { FORMTEXT }. Some fields may be filled with different text, but they will still be enclosed by the "curley" braces (i.e. { }).

Resolution:

This problem is caused by having the option to display form field codes turned "on" in Word. To resolve this problem, follow these steps:

  1. Open Word (or any document that displays the problem)
  2. Click the "Tools" menu at the top of the screen and choose "Options"
  3. You will be shown the "View" tab. Towards the right, un-check the box which says "Field Codes."
  4. Click "OK."

The text which says "{ FORMTEXT }" should now be gone.
