Like many software programs today, TurboLaw® Time and Billing requires activation before you can use it.
When activation is required, TurboLaw® Time and Billing will prompt you to enter your license number. This is a unique number that was given to you when you purchased the software.
Simply enter your license number into the box provided and click Activate. TurboLaw® Time and Billing will connect to the Internet and activate your license. This may take a minute or two. Once activation is complete, you can continue using TurboLaw® Time and Billing - you do not have to type in any other numbers or write down any long codes.
If you cannot activate online (if you do not have an Internet connection, for example), then TurboLaw® Time and Billing will prompt you to activate by phone. Simply contact Tech Support and give them the number that TurboLaw® Time and Billing will display. The technician will then give you a new number to type into the program, thereby activating your software.
Activation ensures that you are using properly licensed software, and helps prevent software piracy - which is not only illegal, but which causes software companies to stop producing good software.
You will have to activate TurboLaw® Time and Billing again if you re-install the software. Unlike some other programs, you can re-activate as many times as you need - there is no limit (as long as you use the correct license number).
If you lost your license number just contact Tech Support and tell them who you are - they will be able to look up your account and give you your license code.
