We hope one day to make TurboLaw Time and Billing compatible with many other programs to help ease the transition to using Time and Billing, or just to help people use another program in conjunction with Time and Billing.

Do you anticipate that this billing software will ever be made compatible with Abacus software. I know that TImeslips is and if you think yours will, I would certainly purchase it. Thanks.

For creating PDF documents, you can use Smart PDF Creator. It creates professional PDFs in a couple of clicks. You can try it for free here: http://www.smartpdfcreator.com

Unfortunately I don't believe it's possible to have both Word 2000 and Word 2007 on your computer at the same time - although I may be wrong.

Generally speaking, the learning curve for 2007 is not actually that bad, as long as you keep an open mind about what you are trying to do rather than where the command used to be.

Word 2007 has many new features, some of which may let you do more with your pleadings - but only you will really know that for sure, since only you know how you do your pleadings!

Although only you can ever truly decide whether the new version is better for you, my personal recommendation would be to bite the bullet and upgrade to Word 2007. I believe it to be a better product than any earlier version of Word, and I really do think that the new interface makes it easier to get things done.

I do primarily word processing on my PC with an emphasis on legal documents. I'm using Word 2000 but I just barely got started using the legal template. The $64,000 question: Should I start using Word 2007 and swallow the learning curve and for gett about Word 2000?
Can I install both and slowly convert to Word 2007? I did that with MS DOS. Can I do much more with legal pleadings and documents with '07 than with '00 or '03? Thanks. Joe Stanisic, 925-944-5039
