I don’t understand what you mean by “pay from invoice” or “pay from statement.” Your clients can send you a payment at any time, whether you send them a bill (invoice) or a statement is up to you. And a statement has a different purpose from a bill – a statement is an “overall summary” of your account, whereas a bill is a specific list of specific billed time & expenses, grouped together.
