About TurboLaw Software
TurboLaw Software is unlike any other software company – and that goes for how we got started as well.
It all began in 2001 with a chance meeting between a computer store owner, a former attorney with a knack for making near-perfect copies of court forms in Microsoft Word, a computer science student, and a music teacher.
These four people came together – in one case, literally by recommendation of “a friend of a friend” – and, over many late-night meals at the local Chinese restaurant, the idea for TurboLaw Software (née Promethean Software Corporation) was born.
What started as a simple package of motions and fillable court forms eventually evolved into TurboLaw Document Software – a program to let you enter case information in advance, and have the computer fill out the forms for you on-demand.
Starting with just motions and court forms for Massachusetts Divorce cases, TurboLaw continued to grow, and now encompasses many different areas of law across multiple states.
More recently, TurboLaw has branched out into Time and Billing Software that can be used by attorneys from any state.
Even though we’ve continued to grow, we’ve never let go of our ideals from over 10 years ago – to make it easy for people to use the power of their computers to do routine work, and let them spend time doing things they actually enjoy.
We’ve also kept our “small company” values – staying personal with our customers, and providing great service that goes above and beyond what you’d expect from a legal software company. (What other software company puts you in touch with the people who actually wrote the software when you need help?)
TurboLaw Software really is, as one of our customers put it, “a software company with heart.” We’re committed to bringing people great software that’s easy to use, and we look forward to continuing to serve the legal community for many years to come.
